Work on the storylet progresses slowly. The problem seems to be that everytime I try to work on it, when I look back at what I've written, it seems much weaker than the original. But I _know_ that the original isn't terribly good -- it's rather contrived, doesn't quite flow, and suffers from my style. But I can't seem to make it better. Which is why it's taking so long, because it's rather depressing what a hack job I'm making of it, and so I tend not to work on it.

I need to get more sleep.

I also need more Nick-fic.
