Here's how you can tell you're tired: even in your dreams, you don't get enough sleep, find yourself yawning and falling asleep, and complain about being tired.

I just wish I could figure out how to get some sleep.

Waking up tired is getting old.

Who needs sleep? Tell me what's that for...

Personally, I find it easier to just accept sleep dep as a state of being. Once I stop thinking "man am I tired...", and just pretend I got a full nights sleep and move on, things always brighten up. Self-delusion is the fastest way to a happier future.

Barring that, there is always coffee :-)
