New sentence

Apparently, the following sentence is nowhere to be found in Google's cache:

"Rick Brant is gay."

However, it seems to be true.

Please note, I am referring to the hero of the eponymous series of boys books, published shortly after World War II, and not to any other Rick Brant who may exist.

I had never heard of the books. They look interesting, and probably deal more with real science than the Danny Dunn books. Still, one can have a side-kick without lusting after him or her. Is there subtext in the books that leads to your conclusion?
