Weekend...
Feb. 17th, 2003 09:08 amSo, I did my taxes, and I owe the gov'ment much money. Perhaps not as much as others I know, but still, more than I had thought I would.
As a result, I need to give serious thought to actually cutting back on spending money, as I need to save up some money to be able to pay off said taxes...
So, this weekend, I went shopping, in an attempt to stock up my kitchen so that I have ingredients to cook with.
I made a, if I do say so myself, very good chili on Saturday evening, the whilst I read the Bagthorpes books. I realized that my last two attempts at chili have been undermined by my spending time behind my computer, so that the chili starts to boil, and *poof*, the meat goes rubbery. This time, it didn't!
Then, on Sunday, Bree and I saw "Daredevil". It was an OK waste of time -- Spiderman was much better, but hey -- there were some cool effects (the "sound vision" effect was rather cool). After that, we went to Bed, Bath, and Beyond and wandered for an hour*1.5.
Then, I returned home, and read the paper.
Last night, not remembering that today is something like a holiday (Cornell screwed with my holiday senses, I tell you), I set my alarm for the usual time. Of course, I was having an engaging dream, which I was enjoying, when I was woken up. And, of course, I didn't remember that I could go in late today until _after_ I had already gotten up...
Oh well...
Once more, into the breach!
